Highlighting our Interns and Volunteers: Ayden Aponte

Lis Kenneth Regula believes that working together in cooperation and collaboration is the key to efficiency and success. Whether it’s running a business, running a classroom or running for office, we are only successful when we appreciate the people who work alongside us. That’s why we’re highlighting our interns and volunteers, to show gratitude for their dedication and hard work.

Campaign Intern, Ayden Aponte

Ayden Aponte is a Kent State University junior, majoring in political science and sociology. Serving on several student organizations’ boards, Ayden recently decided to become more civically engaged on campus and in the community. In the fall, these student leader positions will include Intersectional Initiatives Chair of Kent State PRIDE and Vice President of Threads.

Last summer, Ayden worked with Kent Cooperative Housing and Edible Kent, a gardening nonprofit co-founded by Lis Kenneth Regula. These groups collaborated to plant food for the community’s use, near Kent Social Services.

“I chose to work for Lis Kenneth Regula because of his history of non-profit work,” Ayden said. “I think that his commitment to our community makes him a great candidate for Auditor.”
